I have enjoyed working with Valdani 3-strand threads ever since I stitched Autumn Quakers back in 2017. They are so easy to use right off the ball. No separation of threads necessary! Great coverage, nice variegation, and while the thread balls look small you get a LOT of thread - equal to almost 5 skeins of other variegated threads. I would recommend using it on 28 ct linen.
