Weeks Dye Works hand dyed, 100% linen fabric and is great for a variety of cross-stitch and embroidery projects. Original base used and not Zweigart. Not colorfast.
Please Note: Many fabrics are dyed in batches and made from natural fibers. As a result, color variation can occur between dye lots, counts, and fabric types, even under the same color name. Fabric dyers consider this normal and expected, particularly in vintage or antiqued fabrics, so feel free to contact us if selecting an exact shade is critical to your project.

This is a good quality linen with a very light hand. "Linen" is a lovely light color with no yellow tones and a relatively open weave--carried threads would show up clearly. It is not bright white, and I think it's well-suited to sampler reproductions. There is no mottling, though, so if you're looking for something with a stained, discolored look, or even light mottling, this would not be a good choice. I found that the open weave allowed for more show-through on my stitches cotton floss one over two than I generally like to see, but that is just my personal preference.
