Thirza Hudson 1825 is a reproduction of a gorgeous original sampler in our collection from Colne, Lancashire in the North West of England.
The patterns stitch count is 95 x 134 stitches and our model is stitched using 1 strand of floss over 2 linen threads on 36ct linen. We have used Weeks Dye Works threads for our reproduction but we also include a DMC conversion. The finished size on 36ct fabric measures approximately 5 1/4" x 7 1/2" (13.4 x 19.1cm).
Thirza stitched her name, age and the year in over 1 but there are no other specialty stitches.
