from United States on 08/09/2017 - "See-through" linen In the past few months I have ordered three pieces of Wichelt linen, all with the same disappointing results the fabrics are ridiculously stiff, even after washing. The Country French line is slightly less stiff. But the worst thing is the poor quality - the woven threads are so thin that each piece is literally see-through. Their new linen is nothing like the Wichelt linen I have in my stash. I had to send this back and order some Zweigart linen. Too bad because the color was exactly what I wanted. One thing you should note, assuming a see-through stiff linen doesnt bother you and you still want to order, the color picture shown here is incorrect. It belongs to the Country French Latte linen and vice versa. I did confirm this with 123Stitch prior to ordering - the Caf Mocha is the darker of the two.
from United States on 03/23/2016 - Pretty fabric - very hard to crosstitch I ordered this fabric to create a few small crosstitch projects. It's a beautiful ivory color but the texture is so soft it made keeping the tension. Of my stitches very difficult to keep consistent. This fabric would likely make great hardanger material.
