I prefer stitching on higher count evenweave instead of linen. I've used both Jobelan and Lugana, but Jobelan is my favorite. I especially like the color "Lambswool" because I stitch a lot of samplers and this gives the effect of linen while being easier on my eyes. With the color choices available at 123 Stitch I can usually find something that will work with my pattern. I also stitch in hand and am able to maintain an even tension without a hoop or scroll bars.

Just what I was looking for, I can no longer sew on linen, I find even weave much easier! The color is great and the fact that I have different sizes to choose from from is a plus!

Look at DMC #3033 floss to see the color of this wonderful Jobelan Evenweave! The color provides a bit of warmth as a background color for any type of patterns. It’s an Evenweave so the fabric’s cost is reasonable. Fabric itself has a nice even grid so a stitcher’s ’X’s’ come out a uniform height and width. It’s a good substitute color instead of just using white or off-white fabric all the time. A good fabric for those stitchers considering stitching on a ‘higher-count’ fabric for the first time.

First time stitching on an evenweave and it was a dream to handle. Needle and floss went through it like butter. Did not make my floss fuzzy of fray it at all. Loved loved stitching on it and will be buying more. The color Lambswool was a pretty neutral and would use again.

I had been promising myself to start ‘spreading my wings’ when it comes to a variety of different colored fabrics for my ‘stash’. I ordered this ‘lambswool’ evenweave and when it arrived, I was immediately won over with it’s color! The color is spot-on with DMC color 3033. It is another color I’ll be using for samplers, small Thanksgiving and Xmas ornaments for some LHN and Lizzie Kate Designs to give some background ‘warmth’ to the designs.

I would use linen almost every time I stitch a picture but know that it is not within my budget. I've found Evenweave fabric to be softer than linen, yet it looks as good as linen (and is easier to work with), MOST importantly Evenweave is much less expensive than linen and comes in tons of colors. I've gotten over my bias of linen, saved money in the meanwhile and still created wonderful pics in the same count I would have had I used linen. Happy Stitching! PS IF comparing to Aida, Evenweave beats Aida every time, hands down. Try it, I believe you'll love it.

This fabric is almost silky or smooth or ...! It's not stiff or coarse. I loved it and will be ordering more. Truly, it's everything you would want in an evenweave. Color wise it's more evenly light tan than the oatmeal color in the picture. Yes, I loved it!

Wonderful product. I like this fabric it is so easy to work with. I don't like large pieces so 223 stitch cuts them on the size I like. I also like the stitched edges.

I much prefer this fabric for my Cottages as it is less stiff than the linen. And the colors seem to pop more because the Jobelan seems to be a bit darker in color than the linen. I like that.
