I prefer linen in almost all cases, but I've used this sage/summer khaki for years, I love it. It is truly evenweave, no issues with uneven treads. And I love this color, it works for most patterns not on a cream linen. This was available years ago, before so many other colors of linen were available. I live the feel of this fabric for cross stitch, and it looks beautiful when finished!

This is a wonderful color, brownish, not too dark, maybe a hint of gray. And it’s Jobelan, my new favorite to sew on, and it is edge stitched already.
