This is a smooth, tight weave, plain fabric. The enlarged photo might mislead one into thinking that it would provide a "primitive" background. Dark or jeweled greens and reds do show up well on it. As does a cream or DMC ecru.

The fabric is very nice. When it arrived it was a huge piece of fabric. I wish you could buy a piece closer to the size of my project. I like ordering from this company. I just wish fabric could be more customized.

First time using this linen. Like the color, and while it’s stiffer than others, it’s easy enough to work on and easier to frame if you’re doing it yourself. Now I’m trying antique lambs wool to compare.

I am a big fan of lambswool linen and this did not disappoint. One of the really nice things was that it came with pre-bound edges. A real plus!
