I have always loved spring in the South. But there is something special about a Pink Dogwood in spring with its gorgeous blush of pink and green as it begins leafing out. My inspiration for this original sampler was a stately, southern home between twin pink dogwoods. What better way to picture spring than a romantic moment with a gentleman giving his love flowers while the animals look on. Delicate floral borders and alphabet complete this design, capturing the genteel beauty of a bygone era.

Pattern is stitched on 36 ct linen using Classic Colorworks, Weeks Dye Works Gentle Art and DMC threads. Stitch Count is 137 x 249. Finished size is 7.61 in wide X 13.83 in high.
