I loved roaming the woods and exploring shapes and designs in nature as a child, and still do today. There is a symmetry and balance within nature when one starts looking. I played with shape and color to create a piece that is both restful and exploratory at the same time, kind of like a walk in the woods or along a seashore. It also reminds me of a piece of traditional tilework or ornamental design. The design shows how nature and geometry play together in perfect harmony.

Pattern is stitched on 36 ct linen using Classic Colorworks threads and Weeks Dye Works threads. Stitch Count is 101 x 101. Finished size is 5.61 in wide X 5.61 in high.
