I used to have a local cross stitch shop where I was able to buy bobbins similar to these. Since they retired and closed the store I was not able to find bobbins like this anywhere. The local craft stores carry needlework products. I’m very glad I found this site.

I have been cross-stitching since about 1985 and prefer these floss holders because they fit the Plano box that I use and have a hole at the top for holding them on a large keyring for stitching projects.

I have used these floss holders for years and was so glad to find that I could order them on my own.
Most cross stitch stores in my area have closed and supplies are limited elsewhere.

I really like these larger floss keys. First off that tab hold the number wrapper so you always have it with your floss. They are also easier to hold in your hands for winding the floss and during its use. Finally, you also have small stickers to add info. If you need it. Very good design!

I have used these floss keys for nearly 40 years! I was ecstatic when I found them here! They are the perfect size for DMC floss. Other keys are too small. I love them and would not even think about storing my threads any other way!

This product has been around for decades and 1-2-3 stitch is the only place I know still sells them. They fit perfectly in my Plano cases. They will also fit on a project ring. Never run out because new colors are always coming onto the market.

These are perfect for storing my DMC Pearl Floss. I was having a hard time finding bobbins or some kind of holders big enough to store my Pearl Floss in, and happened to find these. Great for bigger floss or more than the usual amount that a regular floss bobbin can hold.

LOVE these floss keys. I like that they are larger and you can put the label directly from the floss onto the little spot reserved for it. Although I do wish that label spot was on the top of the floss for easy viewing. I keep mine in a cabinet I found online that has little drawers. It works great!

I have been using these floss keys for thrity years but in recent times my husband has found a great way to use them to organize his fly tying yarns and floss. The smaller floss key just don't hold enough when doing larger projects.

This is the only way I store my flosses of any type. There are other sizes and types out there, but these are the perfect size to fit into the pockets in photographic slide preservation page which are inexpensive and available online or at any good photographic supply store. I store my flosses in binders where they are easily viewed and protected until I need them. Any other method I've tried has been cumbersome and inconvenient, let alone expensive. These are very economical.
