I used this for Erin Elizabeth's Winter Chickadee. At first glance when I received the fabric, I thought it looked gray green but once I started the stitching it looked blue gray which worked out perfectly with the artwork. On my monitor the color looks plain gray but now I'm glad it wasn't that shade. The subtle hint of blue softens it. The fabric was easy to work with, too.

I've worked with many tones of gray aida and for a light gray, one that even light-colored floss will show up against, I recommend this particular manufacturer and hue. Additionally, the fabric is stiffer than some other brands, which makes stitch placement easier.

Quite a few of my pattern books call for confederate grey and looks like the website changed the name to mystic. I didn't make 100% sure positive of this. None the less fabric is always of quality. I am pleased with purchase.

Looks like confederate grey got a new name of mystic grey? many of my pattern books call for that particular color, so am hoping this is a match. The aida cloth is great quality and easy to stitch on.

I have several cross stitch pattern books that call for this particular color. The big name craft stores do not carry this color at this time and have limited selection, but fortunately I discovered this website and low and behold they carry just what I need and then some! I love this color because it is very subdued and soft-looking, but it has a definite blue tint. I'm using it to stitch Shiver Me Timbers by Sue Hills, and worried it might be too blue, but I'm quite happy with it even though it's not what I thought it would be. I think Wichelt Touch of Gray might be closer to the Pewter lugana used in the sample. For the record, this is nothing like DMC 928, it's about halfway between 3753 and 762.

This is a light soft pure gray, true to the swatch on my monitor. It is my favorite true gray, and will make a gorgeous background for a large egret.

My project called for 18-count gray Aida. I looked in my local needlework shop, and the shop didn't carry it. I was hesitant to buy this online without seeing the color and touching the fabric. I was quite pleased with my order. It arrived quickly, and the product was high-quality.
