I can always rely on zweigart 28 count cashel in antique white for many projects. Not too white to look brand new, but not dark at all so all of your lovely silk floss shows splendidly.

I love the texture, it has the right balance of slight stiffness and softness for cross stitching. The greatest thing is that the edges are all sewn so there is no need to tape or deal with unraveling!Love this company. When you order a design you can select to also order everything you need for the completion of that design all the threads and fabric without having to individually search each one.

I have never stitched on Cashel before and I found it too hard. Note that I am 65 and my vision is not the greatest!! I did like how soft it was!! That made it easier to work with than Aida cloth but the holes were just too small for my eyes to see.

Most of the time, I use the fabric suggested on the pattern when choosing a fabric but this time I did not have a pattern. I needed something that was not pure white, not ecru but somewhere in between. The antique white was perfect for my project and would make an almost "universal" fabric depending on your threads in your design, similar to a natural linen but lighter color. Also really like cashel linen, easy to stitch, can be used for casual or elegant pieces. So glad I decided to use this for my latest project.
