This color of linen really is a great substitute for many others that are supposed to be distressed: in fact, I found several of these linens, those that had "text" superimposed on front of linen, to be very distracting and too much for my taste. This color really is a great linen, and a great substitute for almost all the more distressed recommendations.

This is my go to fabric when I want a neutral background. The fabric is a pleasure to stitch on and the feel of the fabric is so soft to the touch, yet sturdy. It's a beautiful linen that is easy on the wallet. In my opinion Zweigart makes the best linen.

This is a linen that has both the stiffness and the softness of a fabric that is a delight to stitch on. I love the color, I also like the Mocha that is NOT the vintage. Between the two colors, it is really a great substitute for the many linens suggested in the newer patterns that are much more expensive and really not that great to stitch on. I used it for the Hedgehog pattern from Primitive, and rejected their suggestion on which I couldn't really see the colors as well. I hope this helps some with choices. Oh, and I prefer the 28 ct to the smaller counts, maybe an age thing!

This is a joy to stitch on. It is nice and flowy. You need a hoop for it though because it is very soft. I love the color verigations. It adds just a little bit of interest to my project.
