I have used black evenweave fabric in the past, and found it difficult to see the holes. This time, I'm armed with better information, and plan to put a white towel on my lap while stitching, and hopefully this will make it easier. I haven't started the project yet, but I can say that the fabric is of wonderful quality...and of course it arrived very quickly 123Stitch's usual and wonderful brand of customer service.

The fabric is dense enough that it keeps a nice rich black tone. Hand of the fabric is soft enough to work with it easily but stiff enough to hold up.
