The Sanxing symbolize the three attributes that constitute a good life in Chinese culture. They are Fu (good fortune), Lu (prosperity) and Shou (longevity). This antique sampler immediately caught my eye simply because it was stitched in purple, my favorite color. There is something about a sampler worked in one solid color that I find so beautiful and timeless.
