Pattern is stitched on 40 ct using DMC floss. Stitch count is 182 x 218.

All three of the designs are included and are based around dogwood blossoms and Bobwhite Quail. Horizontal design says "I sing of books, of blossoms, birds and bowers - of April, May, of June and July flowers."

The model is stitched on 40 count "Light Mocha" linen from Zweigart using Weeks Dye Works, Classic Colorworks and DMC floss. Stitch count is 226 wide x 191 high.

Inspiration for this design came from a vintage velvet tomato pincushion. Somehow that became two squirrels stitching under an acorn "bobbin" tree, an acorn basket and an acorn drum with the text "gather and stitch."
