This is a revised version of an old design (#113). The original 2015 design has been out of print and I decided to rework it. JABC buttons are included. A cardinal is perched atop a basket of winterberry leaves berries.
Pattern is stitched on Fog Cashel using DMC threads. Stitch count is 80 x 112.
When the traditional lyrics had me stumped for designs I decided to get creative and use the ultimate lord of Christmas- Santa, as my muse! You can see him leaping over a sleeping village as gifts and Christmas magic (represented by metallic thread) spill from his overflowing sack!
This pattern was stitched on 36 ct Dead Sea Scroll by Seraphim Fabrics. Finished Size: 7.75" x 7.75" and Stitch Count: 140 x 140. This piece was stitched with silk threads, introducing the stitcher also to some Silk Lame by Rainbow Gallery.
This pattern was stitched on 40 ct. Old Stationary by Seraphim Fabrics. This piece is part of a greater series, the first being Joy Be Thine, now this one and one still in teaching circulation Stitches Be Sweet, there will be another teaching piece in this set called Count Be Correct with a short saying with it like the others. Jan Hicks creates the design "CRS 1713", an antique sampler from the Saxon region of Germany. The original stitcher is known by the initials CRS.
