This sampler brings together two of my favorite themes: stitching and music. It is full of motifs such as thread spools, "loudspeaker" flowers, and hoops with music notes. It reads: "I wanna rock and roll all night and cross stitch every day"

The model was stitched over 2 threads on 40 Ct. Creme Brulee by R&R Reproductions with Needlepoint Inc Silks. Stitch Count: 135W x 103H. Finished size: 6.75" x 5.15"
Model stitched on a 17 x 21 inch piece of 28ct. Antique White Cashel linen using DMC. Stitch count: 154w x 214h. Size of finished design: 11 x 15 inches.
"Live Simply that Others May Simply Live." A sampler in the style of the Quaker samplers of the 17th and 18th centuries. Stitched with a single color of dark floss (Gentle Arts: Blueberry, Vikki Clayton Hand Dyed Fibers: Konini, or DMC #930/#3740). Stitch Count: 108W x 170H.
The model was stitched on 30 count Old Salem Linen by The Primitive Hare using DMC thread. The stitch count is 69 x 70.

The idea for this design came from one of my grandmother's sayings. When we would be heading out the door without our hats and mittens, she would politely remind us to "wear your woolies!" The finished piece will be the highlight of any Holiday decor.
