Spring House is stitched on two different color pieces of linen and framed together as one. If you choose to do the same it is imperative that you choose the same count fabric for both. Alternatively, the entire piece could be stitched on a single piece of fabric.
When the traditional lyrics had me stumped for designs I decided to get creative and use the ultimate lord of Christmas- Santa, as my muse! You can see him leaping over a sleeping village as gifts and Christmas magic (represented by metallic thread) spill from his overflowing sack!

This pattern was stitched on 36 ct Dead Sea Scroll by Seraphim Fabrics. Finished Size: 7.75" x 7.75" and Stitch Count: 140 x 140. This piece was stitched with silk threads, introducing the stitcher also to some Silk Lame by Rainbow Gallery.

Pattern is stitched on 35 ct Dark Cappicciono from R&R Reproductions using Gloriana Silk threads (Swamp Grass). Stitch count is 179 x 185. If stitching on a lower count, two skeins of floss would be needed.
Patterns are stitched on 32 ct Parchment from Weeks Dye Works using Weeks Dye Work floss with DMC conversions. Needle Case stitch count is 53 x 33 Finished Size 5.08 x 3.7.
