I couldn't resist the urge to create another Quaker Stocking after the enthusiasm I saw for my Quaker Christmas Stocking! This new piece uses the exact same linen and silks as the Christmas stocking.
It is stitched on 40-Count Wheat linen from Fiber on a Whim using Needlepoint Silks. Stitch count is 173 x 447. Finished size is 8.65" x 22.35".
I found these sweet small frames at my local Michael's Store about a year ago and knew they needed samplers. I immediately posted a photo of them on Instagram encouraging stitchers to grab them up. Caroline College 1823 is a stunning sampler from the collection of Myriam Riley, who also stitched the sampler. I can't tell you how much I love this one. The organic border had me hook line and sinker. I have been a bad influence on Myriam as she now owns a number of samplers.

You can almost smell the fragrant orange blossoms on this design! Using a unique palette of soft orange and lavender, this verse from Nehemiah is displayed both boldly and gently. The blooms are dancing joyfully around the words, paired with the citrus fruits for a special color balance.
Forbidden Fiber Co has some of the prettiest thread colors out there, and I'm excited to release another design using some of them! Using a gorgeous red, some joyful shades of green, and beautiful blues, this Bible verse from the book of James matched up quite nicely with a Christmas theme.
