This sampler brings together two of my favorite themes: stitching and music. It is full of motifs such as thread spools, "loudspeaker" flowers, and hoops with music notes. It reads: "I wanna rock and roll all night and cross stitch every day"
Note from the designer: This tiny petite sampler was acquired at an estate sale in Michigan. The simplicity of the piece is the charming "as Hannah stitched her sampler in 1822 at the Faringdon Subscription School near Oxford, England."

Milady's Posies is a beauty, if I do say so myself. The center "posy" is a reproduction of an antique powder compact. The flowers were stitched on silk gauze which decorates the top of the compact.
Stitched on 40 count fabric using DMC threads. Stitch count is 249 x 87. Finished size is 12.45 in wide X 4.35 in high.

Mary Fosh 1821 has been an eight month stitch along for the Tudor Rose Sampler Guild, and she has a beautiful palette, and despite being English she looks like American Folk Art to me. She was so enjoyable to stitch, and I am so excited to share her with you.

Birds on the Temple is a reproduction of a sweet little antique sampler. While there is a set of initials and a year on the sampler, what really stood out to me was the birds sitting on the temple.
