Second in the series of sampler fragments. Each is meant to look incomplete, as often old samplers are cut or damaged over the centuries. Each sampler in the series will have a different edge "cut off." All will be the same size on the same fabric.
The model was turned into a quilted table mat meant for use at cross stitch retreats, but it would be just as good placed in a frame. It was inspired by the people I've met and the friends I've made at cross stitch events across the nation.
This sampler design features a gardener watering her tomato vine, surrounded by all the letters of the alphabet.
The model was stitched over two threads on 36 Ct. Affogato by Fiber on a Whim with Weeks Dye Works, Classic Colorworks, and DMC floss. Stitch Count: 129W x 109H. Finished Size: 7.17w x 6.06h.
She is delicate and so very pretty. Being a monochromatic stitch made her very relaxing to work on.
