This piece was originally designed for the Spring 2024 issue of Punch Needle & Primitive Stitcher magazine. The verse is from a song from The Mikado by Gilbert & Sullivan. The song is lilting, happy, and full of tra-la-la's!
Pattern is stitched on 40 ct Flax using Weeks Dye Works floss. Stitch count is 136 by 127. Finished size is 6.8" x 6.35".

For this designer: I really wanted to capture one of my favorite seasonal blooms in a biscornu format. There's a lot of stitching in this, but the results came out just the way I'd hoped and I love the dramatic effect.
