Note from designer: Love is the third offering in my Birds of Color Series and this one focuses on the color red. What bird better represents the color red than the cardinal and his lovely female counterpart? As with other colors, the color red represents several different meanings including anger, danger, passion, power, and love. I have chosen to focus on "Love" with this design, with the paired cardinal couple and, of course, the hearts as additional symbols of love.

Pattern is stitched on 40 ct. Chatelaine Dark by Mason Linen; suggested fabric listed , using Weeks dye works, Gentle arts, and Classic colorworks threads with Dmc conversions. Stitch count is 80 x 80.
