Nurge high-quality Square (rectangular) ABS Plastic Embroidery Hoops are perfect for most styles of needlecraft, embroidery & cross stitch. They make it easy to sew into corners. There is a notch in one hoop that fits into a groove on the other that keeps the fabric firm when sewing. *The size of the hoop is taken from the inside of the hoop, not the middle, like on the wooden ones.

This hoop is sized 9.8" x 11" (250mm x 280mm) with a width/thickness of 1/3" (8mm) and is the color "Black". Note: Not a true black, color is closer to coal/navy.

I'm just trying out these hoops and so far I'm really happy with them. They hold the fabric even more taut than my scroll frame and fairly easy to place the fabric in it. My only minor gripes aren't really about the Nurge hoops themselves, but about my hard time finding compatible additions: 1) My lap stand already has a hard time holding a regular hoop in place and this one has bigger borders, so it tends to fall down from the clamp. 2) It's hard to find grime guards for this shape of hoop.

I love this hoop so much that I bought 3 more. The size and shape are perfect for small or larger projects. I no longer have to periodically shift the hoop to accommodate for borders. It is also light to hold. Plus it comes in lots of great colors. How does it get better than this? Totally recommend.

I have been obsessed with the Nurge hoops since first trying one last year. Once I saw they came in black, I had to have one as that is much more me than pastels. Nurge hoops hold your fabric taut like a Q-Snap, but are less bulky and much easier to put your fabric onto. It is also much easier on your fingers to adjust the tightness. I’ve used for both linen and aida fabrics and highly recommend.
