What Other Stitchers Are Saying (100% of reviews are from verified purchases)
from United States on 01/10/2026 - Judeth Payne 1668 It is difficult to rate this pattern. I love samplers from the 1600's and appreciate the work designers spend to analyze and convert them into instructions so that stitchers can reproduce them. This pattern plainly says it is recommended for more advanced needle workers. I'm probably not "more advanced", but I'm game to try. I'm aware that the needlework is very complex, but I find the instructions VERY confusing. The pattern was written in 1995 and could probably use some updated editing. The silk numbers don't match any company's stock that I'm aware of. You have to get your guidance from the DMC numbers that thankfully have mostly maintained their consistency. I think I can muddle my way through this, but I doubt my finished piece will look exactly like the original.

I am delighted to share this antique with you. It is from 1840 of Dutch origin.
