Designer: Jim Shore
Manufacturer: Mill Hill
Size: 3.75" x 5"
Item: JS20-1611
Type: Cross Stitch Kits

Kit includes 14 Ct. white Perforated Paper, floss, needles, beads, chart and instructions. Finished size: 3.75" x 5"

While we still have kits in stock with Perforated Paper, newer Mill Hill kits are now being made with Perforated PVC. We were skeptical at first, but here's what our testing has revealed so far:

1. Perforated PVC looks and feels nearly identical to perforated paper, and nothing like plastic canvas. It's sturdy and easy to hold, and is slightly harder to bend.

2. Our needle and thread glide just as smoothly through the new PVC as they do through paper, and finished stitches on both materials look nearly identical.

3. The new PVC is some sturdy stuff. It's much harder to tear than the paper, so you can pull your threads as tight as you want without having to worry about deforming holes or ripping. We also expect the PVC to be more resistant to decay and yellowing.

All in all, while (like many in the community) we were originally hesitant about this change, our first impressions have been very positive.

Love this. So much fun to work up. Have 3 of the Jim Shore Snowmen; I need to order them all. Ordering with 123 Stitch is wonderful.

This ornament turned out cute but much bigger than I imagined. I had previously worked the Mill Hill ornament kits. Also, not sure the perforated paper is as good of quality as in other kits. When I had a knot in my floss, I accidentally ripped the paper when pulling it. However, I was able to finish the project and no one will know it was ripped but me.
