I have been a cross stitcher for over 30 yrs. and am really tired of DMC sorry floss. I have found much higher quality, consistent thread texture/thickness in Gentle Arts and other specialty flosses that I never use DMC anymore and even substitute Anchor for DMC just so that I don't have to use DMC. I highly recommend that you start a little collection of Gentle Art Sampler Threads, go slowly if you must. Quality versus cost? when we spend time stitching something, we should use the best supplies available, if at all possible.
