Milady's Posies is a beauty, if I do say so myself. The center "posy" is a reproduction of an antique powder compact. The flowers were stitched on silk gauze which decorates the top of the compact.

Stitched on 40 count fabric using DMC threads. Stitch count is 249 x 87. Finished size is 12.45 in wide X 4.35 in high.

Birds on the Temple is a reproduction of a sweet little antique sampler. While there is a set of initials and a year on the sampler, what really stood out to me was the birds sitting on the temple. I couldn't resist the urge to create another Quaker Stocking after the enthusiasm I saw for my Quaker Christmas Stocking! This new piece uses the exact same linen and silks as the Christmas stocking.

It is stitched on 40-Count Wheat linen from Fiber on a Whim using Needlepoint Silks. Stitch count is 173 x 447. Finished size is 8.65" x 22.35".

I found these sweet small frames at my local Michael's Store about a year ago and knew they needed samplers. I immediately posted a photo of them on Instagram encouraging stitchers to grab them up. A fun little pincushion-sized stitch for those that find themselves equally drawn to the old and the new. A companion piece to the much larger "Rock & Roll Sampler"

Pattern is stitched on 32 count Dirt Track from Fox and Rabbit linen using Classic Colorworks and Weeks Dye Works threads with a DMC conversion. Stitch count is 92 x 46. Finished size is 5.11" x 2.56".

The model was turned into a quilted table mat meant for use at cross stitch retreats, but it would be just as good placed in a frame. It was inspired by the people I've met and the friends I've made at cross stitch events across the nation.
