This time of year generally calls for vampire bats, but let's not forget about their flying-fox- cousins, the fruit bats! Fruit bats love fruit (figs being a favorite), nectar, and flowers. The bats themselves were quite a challenge to design, but I really had fun with them!
This design features a white cottage planted in a peaceful garden of spring daisies and lilies. The design does not have to be finished into a drum, however; it would also make a charming pincushion!

This is the second in the seasons pincushion series, and I think my favorite part about this chart is the Bible verse: Proverbs 31:21 - "She is not afraid of the snow for her household: for all her household are clothed with scarlet." I think that is just the loveliest verse!
