Sesquicentennial Alphabet in Blue, 1874-2024 is a reproduction pattern of an antique cross stitch celebrating its special 150th birthday this year.

Chart suggests 40 ct. linen in the color of your choice. Thread suggestion for both samplers: Soie d'Alger Rouge 946 (6 meters each). Stitch counts are 139 x 100 and 123 x 91.

Model stitched on 16 ct. linen using Soie d' Alger thread with a DMC equivalent listed as well. Stitch count is 234 x 245.

This design features the text "Vivez longtemps soyez heureux Bien chers Parents ce sont mes voeux." A wish from a child to her parents, for long and happy lives. They are surrounded by birds and flowers, while shepherding lambs in the French countryside.
