I was enchanted with Clarissa's delightful little sampler as soon as I saw it and knew I had to reproduce it. I'm so pleased with the result, and I just know you will fall in love with her just as I did.

I've reproduced the chart using all DMC threads, and the model was stitched on 40ct Lakeside Linens in 'Vintage Sand Dune' 1 over 2 threads. The sampler is stitched entirely in cross stitch and is suitable for use on Aida fabric (as well as linen and other evenweave fabrics).

She's a somewhat diminutive little thing with a stitch count of 137w x 190h.

Includes: full page cover photo, brief narrative of Clarissa's life, black and white multi-page chart, and a thorough fabric and thread legend.

I'm just finishing up this little sampler, and it's been an enjoyable stitch. The chart was easy to read/follow but I might have liked clearer, less fussy symbols for some of the colors (minor quibble). Since the recommended fabric wasn't available, I tried a couple of replacements before making a choice, and I ended up substituting just one of the floss colors as a result. Everything else worked great. I also loved the bio of Clarissa Beaumont that was provided with the chart. It made the sampler all the more special.
