The Sarah's Alphabet Garden Square cross stitch pattern is a square floral design surrounded by an alphabet style border. It also has 3 Celtic knot work designs included in the central section of the pattern.This pattern was inspired by a German needlework chart from the 1800s.
Note from the designer: I borrowed the bottom part of 7 year old Ellen Margaret Jessie Murray's charming sampler to make this pin drum. My friend Faye Riggsbee made it into a pin drum for me and she made a delightful flat berry to go with it as a gift to me. I traced the berry so I could include the template and finishing instructions. This design would work well as a pin cushion too.
Note from the designer: Ellen was only 7 years old and living in Edinburgh, Scotland when she stitched this charming sampler.
