Have you been nautical or nice this year? Either or both, I present to you the Seas & Greetings sampler. It features three ships rigged for the holidays and answers that burning question of how the narwhal came to have a wreath on her tusk. There are several spots for personalization with initials and dates, and a full alphabet/number set is included so you can make it your own.
Pattern is stitched on 32 ct Linen. It was stitched with 10 shades of Classic Colorworks hand-dyed cotton thread. Colors used are: Candied Yams, Cherry Tomato, Deep Fennel, Frosted Sage, Bandana, Bejeweled, Magnolia Blossom, Cocoa Bean, Honeycomb, and Mistletoe. The sampler stitch count is 189 x 127 stitches. Finished size is 12" x 8".

Gift From The Sea by Anne Morrow Lindbergh is one of my favorite books. In it, Mrs. Lindbergh used specific shells from the beach: Channelled Whelk, Moon Shell, Double-Sunrise, Oyster Bed and Argonauta, to illustrate beautiful pondering and insight on being a woman, a wife, a mother.
