While we still have kits in stock with Perforated Paper, newer Mill Hill kits are now being made with Perforated PVC. We were skeptical at first, but here's what our testing has revealed so far:
1. Perforated PVC looks and feels nearly identical to perforated paper, and nothing like plastic canvas. It's sturdy and easy to hold, and is slightly harder to bend.
2. Our needle and thread glide just as smoothly through the new PVC as they do through paper, and finished stitches on both materials look nearly identical.
3. The new PVC is some sturdy stuff. It's much harder to tear than the paper, so you can pull your threads as tight as you want without having to worry about deforming holes or ripping. We also expect the PVC to be more resistant to decay and yellowing.
All in all, while (like many in the community) we were originally hesitant about this change, our first impressions have been very positive.

Love this kit so quick and easy. It's a cute ornament but, I actually framed it in a gold frame which sets off the gold beads.

I made 6 of these as annual ornament gifts for family last year and ordered 3 more of the various snowglobe kits for this year. Yes, the lightest blue and white are very difficult especially on the snowman. I have to lay them on a white sheet of player to tell the difference. Kits always have plenty of materials. Love their Halloween ornaments too.

Cute little kit. Good needles and beads. Needs to find a better way to separate the colors as the kit has either missed a color or the dye lot for 3746 was too close to the white threads to tell the difference. I had to go to my own supply for the color in order to complete this. Also, I suggest tying a bow to complete the presents in order to give it more dimension.

I have stitched this entire collection. I got one and it was so cute and pretty that I had to get them all. Fun, easy to do. This one is particularly pretty!

Fantastic company to buy product from Have never had any trouble with any of the orders they have done. Im Disappointed with the kits from this series as they have hardly any beads in them. The reason why I buy them is because of the beads in them as they make the cross stitch look 3D.
