This Mill Hill beaded kit features a Cuckoo Clock with Santa Claus delivering gifts on Christmas. Kit Includes: Beads, treasures, 14 Ct. perforated paper/pvc, pattern, floss, needles, magnet and instructions. Finished size: 2.75" x 4.75"
While we still have kits in stock with Perforated Paper, newer Mill Hill kits are now being made with Perforated PVC. We were skeptical at first, but here's what our testing has revealed so far:
1. Perforated PVC looks and feels nearly identical to perforated paper, and nothing like plastic canvas. It's sturdy and easy to hold, and is slightly harder to bend.
2. Our needle and thread glide just as smoothly through the new PVC as they do through paper, and finished stitches on both materials look nearly identical.
3. The new PVC is some sturdy stuff. It's much harder to tear than the paper, so you can pull your threads as tight as you want without having to worry about deforming holes or ripping. We also expect the PVC to be more resistant to decay and yellowing.
All in all, while (like many in the community) we were originally hesitant about this change, our first impressions have been very positive.

The cuckoo clock is beautiful and I have enjoyed making it. I changed out the "bobbles" for pine cones and it is even more delightful!!! How sweet is that!!!

Very cute when done. Love the dangling pendulums. Very easy to do like all the other Mill Hill beaded kits. More than enough supplies to complete.

This is a very detailed design and will work up nicely with the beige background. These tiny designs need a light color back ground, as the black background on one is difficult to see the holes.
