Pattern is stitched on 40 ct linen using DMC threads. Stitch count is 100W X 90H (scissor case) and 130W X 115H (sampler). Finished size is 5" x 4.5" (scissor case) and 6.5" x 5.75" (sampler).
Model stitched on 36 Ct. Vintage Meadow Rue using Soie d'Alger. Specialty stitches used are satin stitch, four sided stitch and 2 different variations of a rice stitch. Stitch count is 240W x 271H. Design is 13.33" x 15.06" Color Chart.
All that is known of the sampler are the stitcher's initial - ES. The sampler appears to be English and from around the mid 19th Century.
