Model is stitched on 40 count linen of your choice using Classic Colorworks threads. Stitch count: 173w 179h. Finished size: 8.65 x 8.95.

Note from the designer: Ellen was only 7 years old and living in Edinburgh, Scotland when she stitched this charming sampler.

It is all done in Cross Stitch over 2. The model was stitched on 40 count linen with NeedlePoint Inc. Silks. Stitch count is 96 x 166. Finished size is 4.8" x 8.3".

All that is known of the sampler are the stitcher's initial - ES. The sampler appears to be English and from around the mid 19th Century.

The model was stitched over 2 threads on 36 Ct. Light Sand linen with Needlepoint Inc Silks (DMC conversions are provided). Stitch Count: 114W x 164H. Finished Size: 5 5/8" x 8 1/8"

Model stitched two over two on 30 Ct. Linen using Gentle Art Sampler Threads and Classic Colorworks. Stitch Count: 75W x 85H. Finished Size: 5" x 5 2/3". Stitch Count for Entire Collection: 387W x 261H. Finished Size: 25 6/8" x 17 1/2"

Note from the designer: I borrowed the bottom part of 7 year old Ellen Margaret Jessie Murray's charming sampler to make this pin drum. My friend Faye Riggsbee made it into a pin drum for me and she made a delightful flat berry to go with it as a gift to me. I traced the berry so I could include the template and finishing instructions. This design would work well as a pin cushion too.

Stitched on 36 Winter Woolens by Seraphim with Weeks Dye Works floss. The stitch count is 257 x 161 and the finished size is 14.28" x 8.94".

This lovely sampler is of Scottish origin.

The model was stitched over 2 threads on 32 Ct. Summer Khaki linen with Soie d'Alger silks and silk chenille. Stitch Count: 204W x 278H. Finished size: 12 3/4" x 17 3/8" Stitches used: cross stitch, satin stitch, queen stitch, double running stitch, outline stitch, chain stitch, and stitching over one. Stitch diagrams are included.

Model stitched on 36 Ct. "beige" colored linen from Weeks Dye Works with DMC threads. Stitch Count: 202W x 226H. Finished size is 11.25" x 12.5".
