The stocking was just stitched on 40-Count Thornfield Linen from Needle and Flax using Needlepoint Silks. Stitch count for the stocking is 172 x 447. Finished size is 8 1/2" x 22 1/4". Stitch count for the sampler is 83 x 446. Finished size is 4 1/8" x 22 1/4".

National Female Model School Sampler - Kildare Place, Dublin circa 1820

This pattern has 1 specialty stitch - the Satin Stitch. And the small alphabet at the top and the small letters at the bottom are stitched over 1 thread of linen.
