Pattern by Kathy Barrick featuring a sampler themed stocking patter originally designed in 2004.
The stocking was just stitched on 40-Count Thornfield Linen from Needle and Flax using Needlepoint Silks. Stitch count for the stocking is 172 x 447. Finished size is 8 1/2" x 22 1/4". Stitch count for the sampler is 83 x 446. Finished size is 4 1/8" x 22 1/4".
This was designed for a retreat in 2025 at Quilter's Station. It is a companion to Kindness Makes Friends, and has the same stitch count and base fabric, as well as some of the same floss colors. Don't miss small
surprises like a sewing machine on the roof and little quilt squares.
Third in the series of sampler fragments. Each is meant to look incomplete, as often old samplers are cut or damaged over the centuries. Each sampler in the series will have a different edge "cut off." All will be the same size on the same fabric.
Note from the designer: This one is dear to me because I designed it in the style I began my design business with. I love the feel of old samplers, and I hope this one is reflective of how The Lord has always shown me His grace.
