The small size intimidated me a little at first, but it felt really good to use up more of the floss at the end, so I stuck with it. Now I don't know if I can go back to the longer needles at all!

When you're down to that last few inches of floss, with only one stitch to go (ACH!), the shorter needle helps you not use so much floss when you slide the needle thru the back of your work to secure it.
