Note from the designer: A stunning reproduction, with unusual alphabet placement and a garden teeming with birds and lovely floral motifs; a charted adaptation for the lower portion only is also included. Other than a small number of eyelets, everything is standard cross stitches
Reproduction model is stitched on 38 count Brewer's Malt from Access Commodities, which has been discontinued. Erica Michaels recommends Fuller's Teazel as a substitute. Linen reference shades are DMC 822 or 3047. Stitch count: 278 x 308.
Adaptation model (verse omitted) stitch count: 259 x 219.
Note from the designer: Worked using one ply of silk over 2 threads. One skein of each is sufficient for the model as shown. If you are stitching on a larger count or using a different floss, you may need to adjust those quantities. If you choose to make color conversions or other changes, suggested DMC alternatives are shown for reference. These are possible suggestions only; not all noted are good matches. I encourage you to make your own color and dye-lot selections with the entire color palette in mind.
