A little red sampler inspired by traditional designs from northern Europe. This sampler can easily be personalised by adding the stitchers' initials in the wreath using the alphabet at the top of the design. This pattern features only full crosses and is suitable to be worked on aida and linen.

The original sampler was stitched in 1812 in Troy, N.Y. The reproduction model was stitched on an Antique White #28 linen over one thread. The stitch count is: 80 W x 109 H and the finished size over one is: 2.8" W x 3.8" H. The following colors were used: Weeks Dye Works - Kentucky Bluegrass and Verdigris, and Hickory Sticks and Tiny Vine from Classic Colorworks.
Model stitched on 45 Ct. Meadow Rue from Lakeside Linen but it is suitable for any linen count. One strand of Gloriana Tudor silk stitched over two.
