Love these plastic hoops as the wooden ones can stain fabric and I feel the plastic ones have a better grip. Have this in a couple sizes for smaller projects: especially when cross stitching on clothes.

This hoop wouldn't hold my fabric as taut as I would like it too. I am working on a big project and
having my fabric taut is important. I found another one that works much bette.

the hoop doesn't hold fabric well no matter how often you tighten the screw... and the plastic is slippery too!!

Really love this product. Fabric doesn't slip at all, and they are so comfortable to tighten. Would buy more of them, but different size.
