To add to my growing flock of birds, this piece was adapted from a French antique in my collection. The original has been adapted to simplify the colour palette and make the birds more vibrant. The original stitcher's name has been charted for those who want to include it.
Model stitched on 32 Ct. Star Sapphire linen using DMC, Classic Colorworks, Gentle Arts Sampler Threads & Weeks Dye Works. Stitch Count: 207x63. Design Size: 13" x 4".

This cross stitch pattern is worked in one color and features a lacy border, two swans at the top and a vase with flowers in the center.
Chart recommends 36ct Ancient Blue Linen using Au Ver a Soie Soie de Paris, or Soie d'Alger thread (listed). DMC alternative is B5200. Stitch count: 257 x 349.
The model in blue was stitched on a #36 Antique White linen with one ply of floss over two threads. The stitch count is: 72 W x 68 H, and the finished size is approximately 4" round. It was mounted inside a metal clock from Hobby Lobby. The fiber used was a Weeks Dye Works in Periwinkle.

This antique sampler is inspired by a french designer with Christian imagery.
The model was stitched on 36 count Summer Khaki linen from Zweigart, with 1 ply of Weeks Dye Works Hand Dyed Cottons. Stitch count is 260 x 171 with a finished size of 14.44" x 9.5".
This is a reproduction of a French sampler. Little embroiderer Lucie embroidered a beautiful alphabet and then chose to embellish it with two trees with birds. She adorned her initial with two griffins.
Pattern is stitched on 32 ct linen using Soie d'Alger, Gentle Arts, or DMC threads. Stitch count is 310 x 262. Finished size is 19.38" x 16.38".
Previously an exclusive for Expo some years ago, I've had so many requests to re-release this little pin-pillow featuring a quote from French writer Collette. It's also very easy to customise to your cat's colour.
