Our stocking is stitched on 40-Count Paperbark from Fox and Rabbit using Needlepoint Silks. Stitch count for the stocking is 172 x 447. Finished size is 8 1/2" x 22 1/4". Stitch count for the sampler is 81 x 443. Finished size is 4" x 22 1/8".

The name and style of this sampler led us to investigate whether it was created in Spain or Mexico. Mexican sampler scholar Mayela Flores Enriquez, PhD, confirmed that although the name is Hispanic, the style of flower baskets and larger girl are not consistent with Mexican dechados (samplers). Ann Jefferson stitched her sampler at the age of 10. A sweet marking sampler with alphabets and sweet strawberries and pots of flowers in bold colors. The stitch count is 129 wide by 137 high and is stitched mostly in cross stitch with one band of 16-leg eyelets. This sampler can be stitched on linen or aida. Finished size on 32 Ct is 8.06" x 8.56".

Helen's Drum is a pin drum pattern using key elements of our Helen Monro sampler.

The model was stitched on 40 ct linen using DMC floss, a conversion to Au Ver a Soie (Soie D'Alger) is also provided in the chart. Stitch count is 226 x 60. Finished size is 11.3" x 3".
