Helen's Drum is a pin drum pattern using key elements of our Helen Monro sampler.
The model was stitched on 40 ct linen using DMC floss, a conversion to Au Ver a Soie (Soie D'Alger) is also provided in the chart. Stitch count is 226 x 60. Finished size is 11.3" x 3".
The sampler was adapted for Aida and linen - which only changed the small verse across the top to be stitched over two, instead of over one. Pattern is stitched on 36 ct Over the Moon from Colour and Cotton. Colour and Cotton threads not listed: Solstice, Spring Moss, Maize, Adobe(2), and Tusk(3). DMC conversion included. Stitch count is 211 x 228.
Germaine Villeret stitched her large colorful sampler in 1925. The colors are as beautiful front as back. You can stitch it in either Soie d'Alger, 1003 silk or DMC. Stitch count is 308 x 320.
Madeleine stitched her little sampler in 1904. This model is stitched on a Zweigart linen 40ct color 323, with Soie 1003 Au Ver Soie, Conversion in Soie d'Alger and DMC is included in the booklet. Stitch count is 244 x 253.
